  • Currently working on LSP Selector, which assesses cost vs time requirements of orders and automatically decides the breakup of LSP assignment.

Bestseller is an international, family-owned fashion company with a range of over 20 brands, such as, Jack & Jones and Vero Moda. It has about 2,700 branded chain stores and 15,000 multi-brand stores across Europe, The Middle East, North America, Latin America, Australia, and India.

Challenge

  • Meeting customer demands implies having fresh fashion in stores on a near-monthly basis. And to manage such quick turnover in a distributed network calls for complex coordination with multiple LSPs (even multiple divisions within those LSPs).

Challenge

  • Providing service to a mobile device covered under insurance requires pickup and drop to a local repair centre followed by a reverse delivery procedure. Multiply this by thousands, per city, per month, and using multiple LSPs; there is a high possibility of delays and mismanagement.
  • Worse still, some repair centres manage the reverse movement on their own and simply pass on tracking updates to AmTrust, while others expect AmTrust to manage everything themselves.

Resolution

As of 2017, they have a national network of 190+ laboratories, 1700+ lab patient service centres, and 5,000+ pickup points; headed in New Delhi and covering all other metro cities.

Challenge

  • For safely and economies of scale, the most viable model is to have one major laboratory processing tests from a large network of local diagnostic centres. The problem here comes when it is time to consolidate all blood samples from across the country, within prescribed time and in the best condition. Visibility is literally a matter of life and death.

Resolution

  • The customer has around 8 large LSPs integrated via API and 5 mid-sized LSPs who instead use an Excel utility to provide the latest status updates.
  • Considering the level of sensitivity involved, POD audit helps validate the quality in which orders were delivered.

Challenge

  • Having seamless operations is difficult when relying on partner LSPs, especially those in remote locations, who do not employee any technology.
  • It is impractical to implement a management system for them, considering their operational size. And it is equally complex to physically expand into their territory, considering continual business is never a guaranty. Hence, working with these partners is the only logical choice.
